Likewise, if you are a student, and your school is not attending the festival, you are able to register yourself with the help of a parent/guardian.

I AM A TEACHER, i don't understand...my student's can register without me?
For 2021, we are implementing student and school registration. Upon filling out registration, you will be directed to two options: "I'm registering myself and my students." or "I'm registering only myself. My students are registering separately." If you don't see your students too often, then perhaps having your students register individually is the best option for you. Or, if you want to attend as a full school, then school registration may be the best for you. Ultimately, how you register your school is up to you!

I AM A STUDENT, CAN I REGISTER WITHOUT MY SCHOOL?
Yes! For 2021, we are implementing a separate student registration option. Please note: this is entirely out of courtesy, as we know many teachers are unable to be with their students often. Check with your teacher first to see if your school is registering together or apart. If your school is not registering at all, you are also invited to register solo, without a school. We are attempting to make the virtual festival as inclusive as possible.
WHAT IF MYSELF, OR ONE OF MY STUDENTs is disabled?
NJ Junior Thespians is constantly striving to accommodate the needs of all festival participants. If an attendee is visually impaired, hearing impaired, or has any learning or developmental disabilities, it is the responsibility of the school to notify NJ Jr. Thespians if suitable accommodations need to be made. NJ Junior Thespians is unable to fill everyone's requests, but we do make an effort to do so. We are unable to provide closed captioning at this time for workshops and Opening and Closing ceremony. Also, since the entire NJ Jr. Thespian festival is virtual, it is the responsibility of participants to understand their limitations and respect their minds, bodies, and space.
Can you help me? i have a lot of questions and i don't even know where to start.
Absolutely! The NJ Junior Thespian State Board is happy to help and answer any questions you may have. For festival related inquiries, do not hesitate to email Veda Rouze, NJ Junior Thespian Coordinator @ [email protected]. You will get a quick response!

Are there zoom policies?
Yes! All participants are required to sign off an online events and zoom policies consent. Please read below:
Expectations, Policies & Practices for Online Events and Zoom Sessions
Never enter, or attempt to enter, a Zoom session fraudulently using a name other than your own name used for registration. Never enter a Zoom session for an event that is not part of the regular schedule. Zoom meeting IDs are never to be shared with others who have not registered for the festival. Students should only use the meeting IDs that pertain to the events on their schedule. The background for a Zoom session must be appropriate and the environment offer enough light for the student’s face to be visible.
Arrive on time for the workshop session. The student will be admitted to the “waiting room” before being admitted to the workshop. The device being used should be identified by the student’s full name, which is the name the host will see on the Zoom “waiting room.” Changing your name to something inappropriate is unacceptable behavior and will be addressed immediately. Posture before the camera must be conducive to active learning and participation (e.g., no reclining). The student’s full face must be visible in the camera frame. As expected of any class interaction, participants are to treat each other with courtesy and respect. Offensive or inappropriate language is not to be used in any form of communication. This extends to emails, discussion postings, group projects, and submitted assignments which may be part of or an extension of the Zoom interaction. Use of any profanity - written, drawn, displayed or spoken - during a meeting is unacceptable. Taking screenshots or screen recordings of virtual events without the explicit permission from the festival staff is unacceptable.
Disruptions to a Zoom session may lead to the removal of the student from all New Jersey Thespian Events Immediately.Repeated disruption will be reported to the student’s guardians and potentially their school administration.
Entering a meeting fraudulently. Creating negative images of meetings using screenshots or screen recordings of any member of the workshop providers, staff, board members, STO, judges, or participants. Using profanity or obscenities in any form. Verbal or physical abuse in the form of intimidation, harassment, or threatening behavior directed toward the workshop providers, staff, board members, STO, Judges, or participants.
