1 A traditional, brick-and-mortar public or private school that provides full academic course work in grades 6-8 and
has a theatre program of any kind.

3 Authorization to charter a troupe from your school administration.

Chartering FAQ
Do I HAVE TO TEACH THEATRE TO CHARTER A TROUPE?
No. You do not have to teach theatre or be a theatre educator to charter a troupe.
My SCHOOL DOES NOT HAVE THE FULL RANGE OF GradeS 6-8, CAN I STILL CHARTER A TROUPE?
Absolutely. As long as the students you are chartering are within the grades 6-8, you may.
How do i know if my students are eligible?
Students are eligible to be inducted based on the ITS Jr. Thespian Point System. Students earn points by performing or teching in productions, writing plays, attending shows, and many other ways. Learn more about the ITS point sheet here.
